Costuming


Ages 10-14

June 23rd-July 5th

With Monika Grist Weiner

2 Weeks:
June 23 - June 27, Monday - Friday, 9-3:30
June 30 - July 2, Monday - Wednesday, 9-3:30
July 3, Thursday, 9-3:30 and 6-9pm
July 4, Friday, NO CAMP
July 5, Saturday, 1-4pm and 6-9pm

This summer, campers will learn how a production is costumed. Learn about and experience the entire process: reading the script, pulling costumes, fittings and alterations, and crewing the performances! This camp will run concurrently with Melodrama and campers will be guided by NEYT Head Costumer, Monika Grist Weiner as they learn about and costume a real production.

Tech Camps
Ages 12-19

with Francesca Bourgault and David Regan

These camp will include working on lighting, sound, and scenic elements. Students will be asked to use power tools, hand tools, paint tools, carry possibly heavy things, work collaboratively, have keen listening skills, pay strong attention to details, and be ready to have fun and get messy!

Tech Camp - Melodrama Build
June 23 - June 27

1 Week
Monday - Friday, 10am-4pm

This camp will include working on lighting, sound, and scenic elements for two Melodrama shows.

Tech Camp - Musical Theater Build
July 21 - July 25

1 Week
Monday - Friday: 10am-4pm

This camp will include working on lighting, sound, and scenic elements for a fully-staged musical.

 

Run Crew
Ages 12-19

Run crew camps are for those who love to move things, push buttons when requested, and overall support the actors on stage in a live performance. Possible positions include light board operator, sound engineer, microphone technician, backstage run crew, and followspot operator.
