Abigail Drach
Abigail Drach is a New York-based educator, writer and a long-time lover of theater. Her favorite plays are The Crucible, Romeo and Juliet, and Cabaret. She is trained as an actor, director, and playwright and has worked in both educational and professional theater. While completing her BA in Theater and Gender Studies at McGill University (2021), she fell in love with performance theory and the history of performance as an art form. From Greek tragedy to Comedia del Arte and Masque, to the early performance art and happenings of the 20th century, theater's ability to comment on and transform the outside world is what excites her. She also holds an MA in English and Comparative Literature (2023) and a Graduate Certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies (2024) from Columbia University.
