Beloved member of the NEYT community,
It’s been a banner year for New England Youth Theatre! We’re so proud of what we’ve accomplished in 2025 and so grateful for the inspiring work of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and volunteers. And as always, the support of NEYT families, audience members, and donors was crucial to making that work successful. We had so many blessings! Let’s count a few…
Thanks to a generous grant from the Thomas Thompson Trust, our costuming storage space and instructional equipment got a well-deserved upgrade. We have new shelving, new bins, new sewing machines, and a brand new system that helps us continue to be the costuming hub of the wheel that is our local theatrical community.
We’ve made connections on so many levels with the schools of Brattleboro and the surrounding area! In early 2025 NEYT hosted Academy School for their daytime Winter Sports program, and in the fall our touring Commedia troupe brought alumna Rosa Palmeri’s original comedy Sir Majesty, the Giant to perform in gyms and auditoriums throughout the district. And of course, our annual Town Schools Theatre program continues to run strong, a hybrid school residency program that allows elementary students to create hilarious plays with us at no cost.
And this year we debuted a signature fundraising event! Broadway in Brattleboro, organized by alumnus Taylor Patno, brought incredible performers straight from 42nd St. to a packed main Latchis theater for a night of entertainment that had our community absolutely abuzz. This benefit for NEYT is an instant classic– we can’t wait for next year!
And of course, there’s the rave receptions to shows like The Hobbit and Chicago, the introduction of classes and workshops for adults, the blossoming of our student-led Mentorship program… and so much more in store for 2026! And the only way to ensure we continue to do what we do in years to come is by making a donation today.
As we dearly hope you’ve already learned about us: we are entirely committed to making sure no child is turned away from NEYT programming due to financial need. In 2025 we gave $23,622 in aid through the Angels in the Wings scholarship fund; in 2026 we hope to give even more! But we need your help. Please do your part to ensure any child in the Brattleboro area has access to what NEYT provides: a sense of belonging and confidence built through the joyful work of creative collaboration.
Your gift, no matter how small, will help us continue our vital service to our community. You can use the provided envelope to mail us a check, head to neyt.org/donate, or scan the QR code to donate digitally. Help make our 2026 another year to celebrate!
