JUNIOR COMPANY WINTER 2019 PLAY
A WRINKLE IN TIME
By Tracy Young Adapted from the novel by Madeleine L'Engle
Directed by Katrina Spenceman & Julia Tadlock
Ages 9-13; tuition $450
One of literature's most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back--braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she's joining forces with Mrs. Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O'Keefe and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Love CAN overcome evil and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract.
Originally produced at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland, Oregon. Featuring a fresh framing device, this devised theater adaptation is tailor-made for the adventurous storyteller who wants to tell this story in an unexpected way.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:
Whether you are new to NEYT, or an experienced company member, the Junior Company Play teaches young actors skills that will prove foundational for all future programs and productions. Through improv, games and exercises, participants learn the art of listening, reacting, and adapting to their fellow actors. Actors are encouraged to bring their ideas to the material and physicalize their choices in pursuit of clear and fun storytelling. Plays chosen for this show are often based in literature or a popular/iconic story, with strong ensemble casts and all the ingredients for a fun theatrical experience.
