In the style of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER mashed up with Greek and Kabuki Theater, a chorus of actors create the world of Peter Pan, using bodies, light, shadow, found objects, sound and stage magic to create the world where Wendy and Peter Pan are found.
“When the carefree and careless Peter Pan flies into the nursery of the Darling home, Wendy follows her instincts for maternity and adventure, bringing her little brothers along to the magical Neverland to take care of the motherless Lost Boys. Soon the Darling children are swept into Peter's deadly battle with Captain Hook and his mostly-fearsome pirate crew. With so much excitement, why ever go home again...?”
WHAT TO PREPARE:
This process will be a whole lot of fun – and so will the audition. We will be crafting a world as a group. Be ready to move, do mime, and work with space/negative space. This is an Ensemble show so we will be looking for how to work well within a group and think outside of the box.
Performers should be prepared to share a 1 minute piece/speech of your choosing - or just tell a story for a minute, any story.
