A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a bunch of ridiculous aliens came to Earth and wreaked comedy havoc. In order to defend their planet from the evil PlerpZap warships, a handful of silly, bumbling Plarkdark aliens come to Planet Earth planet in the 1960s to abduct a circus performer and a bus driver named Larry, only to cause complete chaos. Will the rest of the circus still perform without their star acrobat? Will Bungles the Clown hang up his giant shoes and retire once and for all? Will the WarBot 9,000 ever follow voice commands properly?
Will Lieutenant Gooze’s treachery be revealed? Will Colonel Poomp, Captain Gurkle, and Private Frangle-Spam save the day? Come see the always funny Town Schools’ Theatre production of An Acrobat, A Bus Driver, and an Intergalactic Overlord to find out!
The Town Schools Theatre project is made possible by grants from The Vermont Children's Trust, The Vermont Community Foundation and C&S Wholesale Grocers so that all students in Brattleboro’s three public elementary schools can have equal arts opportunities. Students in grades 4-6 participated in this free after school program to learn theatre skills and rehearse this play.
