Alumni Original Works Festival
The NEYT Alumni Association presents their Original Works Festival – an evening of plays, poetry, art, & music - on Friday and Saturday August 17th & 18th, curtain rises on the stage at 7pm at New England Youth Theatre!
If you want a relaxed evening, where you are enveloped by new performing arts work, and ushered from one great performance to another – you should come down to the Original Works Festival, produced by the NEYT Alumni Association at New England Youth Theatre on 100 Flat St. in Brattleboro, VT. Each night of the festival will feature different new works.
Artists that will be featured this year include Allison Appell, Jessica Callahan, James Gelter, Riley Goodemote, Colin Hinkley & Shannon Ward, GennaRose Nethercott, Addison Rice, Noah Smith, Ben Stockman, and Jem Wilner. Audiences will be treated to live music, slam poetry, crafters wares, and readings and performances of selections from several brand new plays written by NEYT Alumni.
Friday 8/17 7pm:
-Gennarose Nethercott presents poetry
-Jem Wilner presents selections from Stories of a Lifetime
-Addison Rice will play original music in the lobby during intermission
-Noah Smith presents a short talk on his masters degree in composing for film and will present some of his recent work
-Riley Goodemote will present original music
-Clark Glennon presents a short film
-Jessica Callahan presents a short play
Saturday 8/18 7pm:
-Shannon Ward, Colin Hinckley, and Clark Glennon present Wendigo
-Ben Stockman, James Gelter, and Colin Hinckley present a short play
-Allison Appell will play original music in the lobby during intermission
-James Gelter presents a reading of original stage adaptation of Frankenstein, Prometheus' Fire
Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults. Get a discount when you purchase tickets for both nights - $15 for adults, $8 for students – and treat yourself to a festival of new work!
