NEYT’s Theatre Adventure presents: QUESTERY
Wednesday, May 16 (Sensory-Friendly) at 10:30 am
Thursday, May 17 at 10:30 am
Friday, May 18 at 10:30 am
Once upon a time, a young lad with autism dreamed of being an author, a playwright, and a director. He wrote many original stories and was encouraged by many to pursue his dreams, because at Theatre Adventure, “Pursuing one’s dreams is the stuff of life!”
As a young man, he wrote an adventure tale told with an eclectic group of animal characters. This published legend was set in times of yore, and now, the Theatre Adventure Wednesday Troupe is bringing this fantastic story of an aspiring playwright, Questery, to the stage this coming May 16, 17, and 18.
Many of the Questery characters join together on a quest to rescue a character that has been kidnapped. They are also on a mission to destroy the villainous captor, Turkator. Along the way, the troupe meets many unusual characters--some whimsical, others scary, some who are brave, and others who are quite humorous. Original songs are woven throughout the journey—an expedition that challenges the wit and quick thinking of the clan.
In order to honor audience members with special sensory needs, there will be a Sensory-Friendly performance on Wednesday May 16 at 10:30 am, where expressions and needs are welcomed as an intrinsic part of being an audience member.
Come join us. Inclusive theatre is alive and well in Southern Vermont!
All performances take place at the West Village Meeting House, 29 South Street, West Brattleboro
