Will Eno says we spend a lot of time thinking about the end and the
beginning, the miracle of birth and the mystery of death, in kind of
self-aggrandizing ways. "But, by definition, all of our lives take place

MIDDLETOWN, a sometimes sad, always ironic work, tries to find just the
tiniest shred of certainty, of consistency in this, the unknown territory
of life. Inspired by and sometimes parodying Thornton Wilder's Our Town,
it reflects as well Eno's mentor Edward Albee, who asks, in an interview
with Will Eno, "What could be worse than getting to the end your life and
figuring out you haven't participated in it?"
Directed by Micheal Trzos, the NEYT Senior Company tackles this rich and
deeply thoughtful contemporary work about the mysteries of human
