Jess Callahan is an alumna ('03) of the New England Youth Theatre from the days of the Main Street stage. She has taught and directed many summers since – melodrama and Shakespeare camps, and some alumni shows.  Feeling the need for more opportunities for youth to take on responsibilities after gradutating from the program, with a few other alumni, Jess helped start the Alumni Association, which puts on events three or more times each year, bringing together former NEYT students in new artistic endeavors. 

After receiving a fine arts degree in Theatre at Boston University, traveling to India to study an eastern form of theatre, and working a hectic year on and off stage with several companies in the Boston area, she has settled comfortably in Vermont. After earning her Certificate in Arts Management, she was happy to take the opportunity to join the NEYT staff as the Marketing Director and Publicist.  She also occasionally teaches workshops and classes.  When not at NEYT, Jess works on writing, directing, and acting with artistic partners on independent projects!
