Though she had been acting long before then, Shannon Ward first became involved with NEYT in 2000. Her first show was a melodrama production of Aladdin when she was ten. Since then, her roles have included Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, Kate Keller in the Miracle Worker, Hermione in The Winter's Tale, Peter Quince in Shakespeare Unrehearsed: A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Emily Dickinson in The Belle of Amherst, a one person show she did her senior year of high school. Shannon is currently studying middle school education with a focus in English and science and a minor in special education at the University of Vermont. This schedule does not leave that much time for theatre at school, so she involves herself with the alumni productions when she is home, and tries to make her life a little more theatrical whenever the opportunity arises.
