Kelindah Bee

Kelindah Bee is a drag artist known as Theydy Bedbug, reigning “Mx. Brooklyn,” and a queer trans educator. In performance, they use caricature, lip sync, embodied movement, and poetry to clown, reckon with belonging, subvert art forms and dissolve gender norms.

In Lenapehoking aka Brooklyn, NY, they facilitate “Drag Performance: Between and Beyond Gender” classes at BAX and work as a freelance Gender Identity and Expression consultant. They are currently a Queer | Art | Mentorship 2024 fellow under the tutelage of Kate Bornstein. Their drag education work was recently profiled by the NY Times.

Through their teaching, Kelindah intends to foster playful spaces beyond gendered expectations that allow young artists to embody diverse expressions of many ways to be their most authentic selves. Their passion for drag started by playing dress-up as a kid and their Leo love of cheering you on!
